Humanity inhabits the near and deep space with its technology for over half a century, above all with the aim to understand space environment and technological possibilities for its own activities within. This integral apparatus, analogue and digital computer technologies, long-distance communications, artificial perception of outer space and, increasingly, also artificial intelligence, operates as the most advanced scientific-technological body/corpus which is capable of even the most complex cognitive, processual and communicational practices.
Meanwhile, humanity is also set to research and develop an understanding of the cross-section between the human and the technological. Electronic, computer, algorithm, programmed, generated, bio and media art discover the relations between the most abstract mathematical, physical and biological knowledge and the human/humane.
Within the »Out of the Cradle ’15/ Habiton« symposium we will present the urgent need for the artistic methodologies and practices to be implemented on existing or intended space technology.
